SOUTHEAST ASIAN SPECIES (non-Philippines)

Southeast Asian species include all species endemic and native to Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, East Timor. Few Southeast Asian species have more a extensive geographical range also native to South Asia (e.g., Varanus bengalensis, V. salvator), the Pacific region (e.g., Varanus indicus) and northern Australia (e.g., Varanus doreanusV. prasinus). Species native to the Philippines are not included here.
